The following is an excerpt from Eckhart Tolle’s book titled “A New Earth – Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose”. This dialogue from the author had me in tears. For years I have tried goal setting, reciting affirmations and placing effort on action. I believed that the more pressure I placed on myself, all my manifestations would come true. This becomes tiring to say the least. After reading the passage below from this novel, everything made sense at once. It all comes down to our consciousness, level of awareness and being still. I hope this provides a bit of perspective to your day and conscious evolution.
We are learning that action, although necessary, is only a secondary factor in manifesting our external reality. The primary factor in creation is consciousness. No matter how active we are, how much effort we make, our state of consciousness creates our world, and if there is not change on the inner level, no amount of action will make any difference. We would only re-create modified versions of the same world again and again, a world that is an external reflection of the ego.
